The trade from the first sale attracted a larger entry of ewes and with that came more buyers. As the season moves on the demand for rams will increase and this was seen in only the second sale of the year. Top price was 325gns for a Charolais yearling from Davies, Brynygroes Fawr. Rams averaged £260. More whitefaced ewes and a greater mix of quality saw a more varied trade on the day but the first quality yearlings were selling well. Texel X topped the day again at £146 from Jones, Bromebyd who also sold for £134 followed by Suffolk yearlings from Jenkins, Lower House at £129 who also sold a pen of Mule X yearlings at £126. A pen of Welsh yearlings sold for £65 and aged ewes also sold well with a top of £94.
